Scroll Theory Forms vs Ecwid
Ecwid got one thing very right: a shop you add to the website you already have. Same idea here. The differences are the price of the features that actually recover money, and how many plans you have to climb through to get them.
The short version
- Both embed a shop into your existing site. Neither makes you replatform.
- As of this writing, Ecwid’s Venture plan is around $35 a month and Business is around $65.
- Abandoned-checkout reminders sit on Ecwid’s $65 plan. Ours are included at $39.
- One plan here. Nothing to climb.
- Contact forms ride along free, with spam quarantine.

Where Ecwid is ahead
Honesty cuts both ways. Ecwid has product reviews, wholesale pricing, staff accounts, and a longer feature list at the top plans. If you need those today, they have them today. Our roadmap covers some of that ground, and it ships when it actually works, not before.
The math for a small maker
A maker doing pre-orders and markets mostly needs the same five things: a catalog that looks good on their site, a checkout that works on a phone, delivery and pickup rules, a reminder for the cart someone walked away from, and a dashboard that says what to bake. Ecwid prices that set across two plans, $35 without the reminders and $65 with them. Here it is one plan at $39, and the reminder is the feature that pays the bill: one recovered $30 order covers most of the month.
See it working
The paid plan is $39 a month and covers the whole shop: catalog, checkout, delivery and tax, discounts, stock, and the order dashboard. Card payments run through Stripe and cost 1% of the order on top of Stripe's own rate.
No website yet? That's the other thing we do.
Everything on this page assumes you have a site worth keeping. If you don't, Scroll Theory builds custom websites for small businesses and makers, with this shop wired in from day one, an editor you run yourself, and a person who maintains it. Not a template with your logo on it.
